Commvault Enhances Cybersecurity Ecosystem Through New Partner Integrations

Commvault, a leading provider of cyber resilience and data protection solutions for hybrid cloud environments, has announced an expansion of its cyber and data security ecosystem through strategic integrations with Acante, Dasera, Google Cloud, Splunk, and Wiz. These collaborations are designed to enhance cyber resilience for joint customers across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments by improving threat detection, data visibility, and recovery capabilities.

The integrations enable customers to utilize their preferred security, data protection, and cyber recovery solutions, allowing security operations teams to better understand and address risks and threats while ensuring confident recovery. A recent study by GigaOm, commissioned by Commvault, revealed that only 13% of organizations are adequately prepared to defend against and swiftly recover from cyberattacks, with 54% of these organizations expressing full confidence in their recovery abilities. The findings are detailed in the 2024 Cyber Recovery Readiness Report.

Rajiv Kottomtharayil, Commvault’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing security posture through partnerships with industry leaders in cybersecurity, data security posture management (DSPM), and artificial intelligence (AI). “It takes a village to fight today’s cyber threats,” Kottomtharayil stated, highlighting that these integrations help customers build resilience against cyber threats.

The new integrations offer the following benefits:

Acante: Provides data access governance solutions for modern data and AI clouds, simplifying and accelerating secure and compliant data access.

Dasera: Delivers DSPM solutions that help identify, secure, and govern sensitive structured and unstructured data while automating risk management.

Google Threat Intelligence: Enhances threat visibility with AI-powered insights, enabling proactive defense and efficient threat investigation through a seamless API integration with Commvault.

Splunk: Offers advanced data analytics to improve threat detection and response, providing real-time operational intelligence.

Wiz: Provides a unified cloud security platform that enhances clarity, visibility, and context for securing cloud environments.

These integrations aim to advance data discovery, classification, and overall cybersecurity resilience.
